He has a bachelor's degree in middle grades education from Georgia Southern University, a master's degree in education from Central Michigan University, and a specialist's degree in educational administration and supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. He was selected as one of the first "Master Teachers" from the State of Georgia in 2006.
Before moving into administration, Rountree was a classroom teacher. He started his career at Swainsboro Middle School teaching interrelated special education. During that first year, he was selected to research and implement a co-teaching model for his special education students and teachers. Once that was implemented, he co-taught math and language arts as well as several resource classes.
Rountree has been with Bulloch County Schools for the majority of his career. He served for seven years at William James Middle School, where he taught sixth-grade language arts for two years and sixth-grade math for five years. He also coached football, basketball, golf, and track, and the teams won multiple region championships in these sports. The remainder of his tenure has been at Stilson Elementary and the Transitions Learning Center.

Talana Hobbs is our school counselor. She previously served as our Social Studies teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in School Counseling, both from Georgia Southern University. She has been in education since 2007 and employed with Bulloch County Schools since 2010 working in various roles including paraprofessional, teacher, school counselor, and graduation specialist. Mrs. Hobbs truly enjoys working with students and their families and looks forward to more opportunities to help students grow and realize their full potential. 
Iesha Baldwin is a native of Statesboro. She graduated from Savannah State University and Armstrong Atlantic State University earning a degree in Middle Grades Education. Mrs. Baldwin began her teaching career at her alma mater, Statesboro High in 2000. Prior to teaching at the Transitions Learning Center, she taught seventh-grade English language arts at Langston Chapel Middle School. She enjoys building a rapport with her students and bringing out the best in each one. Mrs. Baldwin has also coached track and field, basketball, and tennis.
