Tim Rountree has been the Transitions Learning Center's administrator since 2010. He has more nearly three decades of experience in education, and he was previously a school administrator
He has a bachelor's degree in middle grades education from Georgia Southern University, a master's degree in education from Central Michigan University, and a specialist's degree in educational administration and supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. He was selected as one of the first "Master Teachers" from the State of Georgia in 2006.
Before moving into administration, Rountree was a classroom teacher. He started his career at Swainsboro Middle School teaching interrelated special education. During that first year, he was selected to research and implement a co-teaching model for his special education students and teachers. Once that was implemented, he co-taught math and language arts as well as several resource classes.
Rountree has been with Bulloch County Schools for the majority of his career. He served for seven years at William James Middle School, where he taught sixth-grade language arts for two years and sixth-grade math for five years. He also coached football, basketball, golf, and track, and the teams won multiple region championships in these sports. The remainder of his tenure has been at Stilson Elementary and the Transitions Learning Center.
